After experiencing an electrical fire in my home back in January 2022, my children urged me to move somewhere safer—even though, at the time, I didn’t think the damage was all that bad and I really didn’t want to leave my house. But looking back now, I’m grateful they encouraged me to consider Indian Creek Independent & Assisted Living. What started as a reluctant move has turned into something truly meaningful. At first, I missed the independence of living on my own. But over time, I discovered that Indian Creek is not just a facility—it’s a community. I feel safe, truly safe, and that has brought me peace of mind I didn’t know I needed. The staff is kind and attentive, and the other tenants have become people I care deeply about. I’ve made friends here, and I enjoy helping others just as they’ve helped me. It’s become a place where we all look out for each other.I especially enjoy bingo nights, and while I don’t celebrate holidays due to my faith as a Jehovah’s Witness, the staff respects that, and I’ve found ways to work around it while staying true to my beliefs. One of the things I appreciate most is how clean and well-maintained everything is. I’ve visited other facilities in nearby areas, and Indian Creek stands out for its cleanliness, compassion, and attention to detail. I always feel comfortable going for a walk, no matter the weather, because the layout is safe and easy to navigate. If someone is hesitant to make a move like I was, I’d tell them this: you won’t regret it. The care here is exceptional, and the atmosphere is warm and supportive. Indian Creek has given me not just a new place to live—but a new place to belong.

When I first came to Rolling Green Village, I was in one of the hardest chapters of my life. My husband had passed away, and I was emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausted. I had been in the hospital a couple of times, and I couldn’t keep going on my own. Thankfully, my daughter—who also happens to be the administrator at Rolling Green—told me, “Mom, you’re coming with me.” And I’m so glad she did. When I arrived, I couldn’t walk. I had lost so much of my strength and independence. But thanks to the incredible therapy team—especially Luke and Nancy in physical therapy and occupational therapy—and the constant encouragement from CNAs like Iris, I’ve come a long way. I can now walk with a walker, unassisted. That might seem small to some, but to me, it means freedom and progress. Their care helped me reach a point where I’ll soon be moving over to the assisted living side of the building.Throughout my stay, I’ve been truly touched by the attention and support I’ve received. From the nursing staff who carefully managed my skin care after I injured both legs, to the folks in housekeeping, dining, and transportation—every person here has made me feel cared for as an individual, not just another patient. They’re kind, uplifting, and they genuinely want to see you succeed. That level of compassion and personal attention makes a huge difference. What stands out most is the sense of family here. We support each other—residents and staff alike. We encourage one another and look out for one another, and that feeling of community has helped me heal in ways I didn’t expect.Rolling Green is a clean, safe, and truly caring facility. If someone you love needs rehabilitation or long-term support, I can’t imagine a better place. They meet you where you are, they listen, and they help you get where you want to go—with dignity, respect, and heart.

Before coming to Rolling Green Village, I’d been managing fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome for over 35 years. It was a slow progression—gradually weakening me over time. One night, I became so weak that I collapsed while trying to get out of bed. Thankfully, I was wearing a call button on my wrist. After being hospitalized for about a month, I transferred here to Rolling Green Village because I heard of its good reputation, and it turned out to be the right choice. When I arrived, I was completely bedridden. I couldn’t move on my own, and the staff had to help me with everything. Slowly but surely, with the help of the care team, good nutrition, and persistent encouragement, I began to regain strength. The physical therapy staff created a series of exercises tailored for me, and I took them seriously. Now, I dedicate about an hour each morning to those exercises—starting in bed and then walking back and forth across my room. Though my stamina is still limited, I can now walk to the bathroom and take care of myself in ways I couldn’t before.I’ve met so many incredible staff members along the way—Daisy, Morrison, Otto, Isabelle, Kelly, Paul, Angie, Francesca, and so many others. They’ve not only cared for me but also encouraged and inspired me. The housekeeping and kitchen teams are also so thoughtful and warm—I always enjoy chatting with them during their rounds. One of the greatest blessings has been my room, which overlooks a beautiful landscape of trees and sky. I spend a lot of time listening to music and reading—Heather, from the activities team, even coordinates with the Nevada Public Library to bring us books that match our interests. That has truly been a gift for me.The food here is so much better than what I could’ve managed on my own at home—it’s well-prepared and offers variety, which makes each day more enjoyable. And just as importantly, the entire environment here is peaceful, clean, and comforting. If anyone were looking for a place for rehabilitation or long-term care, I would highly recommend Rolling Green. Compared to other facilities I’ve visited, it’s warmer, more personal, and far better organized. The nurses are excellent, the environment is healing, and the care is deeply genuine. I truly feel that I’m not just being looked after—I’m being supported in living the best life I can.
